Coronavirus (COVID-19)

If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

The Dickens Centre

The Charles Dickens Centre is housed in a fine Elizabethan building that Dickens knew well. Visitors will find recreated scenes from some of the author's most well-known books including Mr Pickwick addressing the Pickwick Club, Marley's ghost will come and go, Miss Havisham maintains her lonely vigil and Squeers whacks the school desk to jolt his nervous class into continuing their spelling test.
